SAR's GUS went to the vet

Gus went to see our infamous Dr Galea on friday for a full check up. He ended up... spending the night at the luxurious clinic and went into surgery on saturday morning. We did not spare any expenses for this fantastic little guy. Chest Xrays are clear, blood panel is perfect, heart is beating just right and ultrasound was good, although he does have an enlarged prostate which is common in senior dogs. Dr Galea does not think this is anything to worry about. He was sedated for removal of the large growth on his palate and in the process was also neutered. Turned out one of his testicles was hard and enlarged so we sent it for biopsy as well as the growth removed from his mouth. Results are pending. Everything went well and our boy woke up at about 1 pm, ready to go. I picked him up along with Mr wonderful, aka Zakai, who had an introduction scheduled with a wonderful family. Then my little bulldozer, as I like to call Gus, went back to his amazing foster home, and when I say amazing, I mean amazing.... Be aware potential adopters of Gus the Bull that along with a clean bill of health, he will travel with his own journal, that Lisa, his foster mom, keeps updating daily. Any person would be lucky to have such a special boy in their lives. He gets along with Lisa's 2 magnificent boxers, Onyx and Brianna, and loves nothing more than to be inside their lovely home and snooze or snore away. Gus is one of the ultimate combo, bulldog/boxer, check out these pictures...
