new SAR dog "LANDON"

This is Landon from Baldwin Park. He is a beautiful 10 month old fawn male. His previous owner adopted him from Baldwin
Shelter in March only to return him in June. The problem is that his owners not only turned him back in to Baldwin, they put him on death row by saying he was aggressive. Because of this charge, until he was temperament tested, the public could not interact with him. When I couldn't visit with him, a wonderful Baldwin shelter employee went in Landon's run. The worker messed with Landon to get a reaction. Nothing, just tail wags. The worker even stuck his hand in Landon's mouth. Again nothing. Landon passed his temperament
test. A video is made with Landon and a Baldwin Shelter volunteer showing what a great dog Landon is. So we try to adopt Landon. It's difficult because he is only allowed to go to Rescue (on LA County approved list) and head of rescue must sign a waiver. Sheilah of Mutt Match LA stepped in and helped us. Thank you Sheilah, we are grateful! (Sachi has applied to County and we are waiting for approval.) Landon has been a sweetheart with me since the get-go. He was well behaved in the car. He was a little love bunny when I got to pet and interact with him. This "aggressive" dog loves belly rubs. We will do a thorough evaluation of Landon. My guess is that Landon is just fine.
