Bruce is getting ready for his new home

It's the evening before Bruce's big day. Raphaele put him in the tub.

He was not the only one. Smokey was dirty from running in the bushes and playing in the sand. Everything has a consequence!

Pool Time!

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

On a hot day like today, we skipped the long hikes and played ball with the puppies in one of the three yards.

This is CARTMAN and his beloved yellow ball.

Sir Lancelot was very eager to dive right into the pool. After a short hike on a very hot autum day, playtime in the yard with his canine-and human friends, he was more than ready to dip into the refreshing water.

Sir L is trying to get to the ball.

Playing in the pool is the most fun when you have a ball AND a canine friend on your side.

Sammy loves playing in the water with his buddy Sir Lancelot.

While some dogs went on short hikes with the volunteers, others played in the pool, and some, like Cartman enjoyed playing in the yard.

With temperatures in the upper 90's, nothing feels better than refreshing cool water!

Some are not so sure about how DEEP the water is and are very, very cautious. LENNOX is one of them. You just never know ...

Two days before BRUCE goes home

Bruce had a very busy day today, he had to visit Dr Galea for the last time. Even though, Dr Galea thought his teeth looked sparkly and as healthy as a 3 years old pup, we decided to do a little cleaning anyway, along with a blood panel and urine analysis. Nothing but the best for Mr. Bruce before going home to Sean on Wednesday: fresh breath and clean bill of health. As you can see from the following pictures, Bruce has a way of endearing himself to everyone, no matter where he goes.

OOOOHHHHH, I like all this attention!
I am also well versed in computer work.
Always willing to offer my help....
... and somehow, it always ends with a big hug!
 with Libby, Dr Galea's wife.
Now, some quality time with my
good friend Dr Galea...
Everybody falls under my charm...
I am a lover not a fighter!

Can I check my file?

I am told i was put under, don't remember that
part! I do know that I really liked Joanna,
she's really pretty!
Again, no recollection here.
A little stop over at Malibu Kitchen for some quick
refreshments (it was a very very hot today!)
and some little catching up with
the surfer dudes, Gregg and Ben.

Stealing a kiss

and another...

I am told these 2 clowns are getting a lot
of work done there.. so I offered to help.

personally I am a mac guy...

Finally, some attention from Ben

Everybody says CHEEEESEEEEE!

iGive - iSearch for Sachi Animal Rescue

iGive.com

We've found a free, easy way to raise money for SACHI ANIMAL RESCUE, just by searching the web or shopping online.

iSearchiGive.com is a search engine powered by iGive.com, the internet's first online shopping mall where a portion of each purchase is donated to your favorite cause.

Here's what makes iSearchiGive.com so useful:
* It's free, fast, and easy-to-use
* The donation is $0.01 per qualified search (no hidden fees, no limits)
* Donation checks are sent every month
* You can keep track of your individual contributions
* If you shop online, up to 26% of each purchase via iGive.com also benefits this cause

Please give it a try! The numbers may seem small at first, but we all search the web hundreds of times every month, and our combined efforts can add up to real funds for a great cause. And since it's powered by iGive.com (a site that has been helping causes raise money online since 1997), we know it's not just a flash in the pan!

Thanks!

Yearly medical check-up for SAR dogs

September is the month SACHI died two years ago - and so we decided that September is the month when our puppies get their yearly medical check-up with Dr.Galea to stay healthy and well. Today we took the first batch of dogs: SIR LANCELOT, MEYER, FOXWORTHY, CARTMAN and SMOKEY. All weigh over 60 lbs but not more than 70 lbs. All are in good health!
