DYLAN

Yes he is a dreamboat!

Meet Dylan, a 3 1/2 years old brindle boxer who came to SAR quite by accident. Dylan story is a testimony to the extent someone will go to to save a life. Stacy, his original mom, rescued him when he was about 2 from a terrible situation. She brought home a very sick, unresponsive pup and nursed him back to health. Her other dog Roxie was not exactly thrilled by the new arrival but made do until Dylan, feeling much better, started feeling his oats and asserting himself more. Stacy immediately hired a trainer to deal with the situation, but his methods ended making matters worse. Meanwhile, Dylan was also becoming more assertive with Stacy 5 year old daughter, trying to control her until the situation was no longer sustainable.

Stacy reached out to several rescues who all recommended Dylan be euthanized. When she got in touch with SAR, we introduced her to our infamous dog ranch where she brought both Roxie and Dylan for training.

Fast forward to today: Stacy took Miss Roxie home and due to unforeseen events could not bring Dylan back. However, Dylan is now a wonderful well adjusted boy, socialized with all dogs, trained on and off leash and completely obedient. Allowing the trainers to do their "thing", we did not want to interfere with their schedule so could not get a true evaluation of his temperament until recently. Well, what a surprise Sir Dylan turned out to be. This beautiful boy turns in a matter of seconds into a wiggly, sassy Boxer Bean at the sound of sweet nothings. He loves to play, cuddle and kiss. He is amazingly loyal and funny, yet patient, gentle and incredibly well behaved.
He was once a diamond in the rough and has turned into a true gem. Thank you Stacy for trusting us with your baby and you out there who always wanted a Boxer dreamboat, your long wait is over. Here is DYLAN.
