"LUCKY JOEY"
SACHI ANIMAL RESCUE (thru Celeste Charles) pulled "LUCKY JOEY" from the Downey shelter yesterday, and we were shocked by his condition.
That poor little boy had ticks hanging from his eyelids and whiskers, they were in his ears and between his toes and all over his body.
We need not only good vibes for his unlucky “Lucky” but also a little financial help. Any amount will help and you can donate on our wall (DONATIONS NEEDED), just click and there you go!
Unfortunately this young pup has a very nasty, bleeding cancer on his abdomen as you can see. SAR took him to one of our vet Dr. Sam today for exam and X-ray. Lungs were clear and it seems the cancer has not yet metastasized into other organs. “Lucky Joey” was cleared for surgery TOMORROW (07/22/11).

** new SAR dog "KIKI"
Kiki was saved from a high-kill shelter on 07/13/11. She had many FACEBOOK friends pulling for her, found a sponsor, and here she is. Kiki just came in, so we do not know much about her yet. She came down with a little kennel cough and vet put her on some meds that will take care of it within a few days. Once she settles in, we'll evaluate her to get a better idea on who she is and what kind of family is right for her.
She is a cute little thing, that's for sure!

Three puppies in homes tonight!
GALENA, JADE and CRYSTAl were adopted! Their mother ASHLEY and one of her puppies are in a foster home together, and Nani and Koa were also adopted together.
SAR is currently interviewing adopters to place DIAMOND, STAR, and SHALE.

** new SAR dog "CHARLIE"
Charlie is a sweetheart and a very handsome boy! He is a gentleman, no crazy business going on with him. Charlie walked great on the leash. He knew how to sit, but wasn't quite ready to go "down". He doesn't know me well enough yet. Charlie is a great dog, my guess is two or three years old.
** new SAR dog "MILES"
Miles is very laid back. He'd like nothing more than to lay in the shade. He walks great on the leash and is big on giving you his paw. He is a sweetheart like his BFF, Sir Charles. Both a very well behaved, no jumping or craziness. He is also about 2 or 3 years old. He's also got that German boxer face.

Puppies!
Ashley, a beautiful, purebreed Boxer lady gave birth to 8 adorable puppies. We do not know the daddy but he must have been one handsome, foxy guy.
The babies are 7 weeks old and will be fixed once they hit the 4 mos mark.

** SAR's "SOPHIE" is adopted!
Sumi, Sophie's foster mommy failed as a foster. She adopted her and they will live happily ever after!
