Preparations for our SACHI ADOPTION EXTRAVAGANZA in San Jose are in full swing! Yoshika and her team up north completed home checks and have already 10+ adoption appointments set up for this coming Saturday which of course means that 10 or more Boxers will be placed. How great is that!!

new SAR dog - meet "CASSIE"

Cassie is a wonderful 10 year old female that was dumped at the shelter by it's owner. Nothing is wrong with Cassie. Her owners just no longer want to deal with a dog that has been a loyal friend and companion for 10 years. I will not say what should happen to these people, I'm just glad I believe in karma. Fortunately, we have a foster who stepped up immediately to offer her home to Cassie. (thank you Nancy!). If you look at Cassie's beautiful and graying face, you can see the sadness in her eyes. It's all going to be okay Cassie.

Darla is a very cute 2 year old fawn girl. Poor little girl has come in with kennel cough...almost all of the shelter dogs end up with it. Fortunately it is easily treatable, but untreated can turn in pnuemonia. As soon as she's feeling better we will able to evaluate her. She is cute, young, good with people. We'll know more about this little sweetie in another week or so.

Stallone is a handsome 1 year old white male. We will never figure out how this and other great young boxer pups end up as strays and in shelters. Why don't their owners come looking for them? Was there a family tragedy and the family lost their home? We will never know. As we say, their loss is our gain. Stallone has a little kennel cough and feeling under the weather. Right now he is quite calm, but don't know what he'll be like when he feels better. We'll keep you posted.

new SAR dog - meet "GRACIE"

Gracie is an adorable pocket fawn pocket boxer. She is just this cute, tiny, sweet, fawn girl about 1 year old. She appears to be a purebred boxer but has an adorable full tail that curves at the end (almost like a pug). You can't see it in her pictures because she was a little afraid and kept it under her bottom. She is an absolute sweetheart with people. We will evaluate her with other dogs, kids, and cats. Little Gracie is a big prize.
