SAR's "LITTLE MISS HALEY" is adopted!

SAR's "DUKE" is adopted!

new SAR dogs, LITO & SASHA

Shasha and Lito came in together to a boarding facility in April. No one came back to pick them up. When the kennel called the home of a person that boarded them, they were told she was hospitalized with cancer.

Sasha and Lito are chihuahua/dachshund mix, about 2 years old. They are great together and we would love for them to go to a home together if possible. They are right now a little afraid of people and will need socialization and TLC. Lito is deaf but he will look at you with those wonderful big eyes for directions. Please open your heart and your home to foster or to give them a forever home.

new SAR dog - meet "LAKER"

Laker is a very cute and sweet 11 month old golden retriever. Laker currently lives with a family with 2 small children, 3 and 5 years old. He is housebroken, good with other dogs, kids, and people. But Laker's home situation is changing. His family is moving and cannot take Laker with them. They have about a month to find Laker a new loving forever family. Laker will stay with his family until we find a new home for him. He is not neutered, but will be neutered, and up to date on all shots.

new SAR dog - meet "MARLEY"

Marley was saved from a high-kill shelter in Southern California. How he ended up there is everyone's guess. This sweet boy is a typical bouncy puppy with beautiful markings. He is looking for a family that keeps in buzy and safe for the rest of his life.

new SAR dog - meet "NIKI BLUE"

Niki Blue is a 3 year old flashy fawn female. She is a beautiful boxer, which is why I'm sure she was part of a breeding pair (with Duke, another stunning boxer). I'm sure they had gorgeous puppies together. This pair was turned into Baldwin Park Shelter by their owner. He probably got enough puppies, kept a few of them, and now wants rid of Niki Blue and Duke. You know, trade them in for a newer model. We will do a full assessment of Niki Blue this week. She was just spayed yesterday and not feeling 100%. She is also shell shocked from being on death row at the shelter.

new SAR dog - meet "LITTLE MISS HALEY"

Little Miss Haley, only 4 months old, was rescued this morning from Baldwin Park by Christy. This beautiful flashy fawn puppy was found by someone who kept her for a week while he tried to find her owners. No one came looking for her. So he took her to Baldwin Park Shelter in hopes that the shelter could find her a home. Christy saw this sweet and adorable puppy. She made sure that as soon as Haley was available, Sachi got her. We will make sure that this baby is never homeless or abandoned again. We are looking for a great forever home for this pup who is so happy and loving. She doesn't even know what a tough start she has had in her short life.

new SAR dog - meet "REX" aka Shaq

Rex was saved just in time by a loving volunteer of Sachi Animal Rescue. His owner dumped him at a high-kill shelter, turned his back on him and walked away. Rex was found shivering in the corner of his concrete run. He was taken to a vet for exam. Once he settles, we will evaluate his temperament and update his bio. Meanwhile, feel free to apply for Rex. All he wants is a safe, warm place where he can live out his golden years.

new SAR dog - meet "MOKSE"

This 3-yr. old girl rocks! She is a true boxer girl, very playful obedient and well mannered. She is good with children, she is house trained, good on a leash, great
with other dogs.

She is spayed, current on shots, and  she has a k c papers. She is really adorable. I spent a lot of time there,  it is really sad these people do not want to leave her behind but they are moving to China.

new SAR dog "MIMI"

new SAR dog "SPIKE"

new SAR dog "ROCCO 2"

Rocco is a sweet white boxer, 2 years old, brought to the shelter because his family had a baby. Of course, you can't have both a baby and a dog. So they got rid of the dog. Given this attitude, I think it was best for Rocco to find another home where he will be loved and cherished until the end of his life. Rocco has kennel cough and we are treating him with anti-biotics. As soon as he is recovered, he will be evaluated. He is a tall boxer, very sweet, and could use to lose a few pounds (and couldn't we all!). He wasn't loved like he should have been, but he was fed.

new SAR dog "CAPTAIN"

This is Captain. I think he's more like a Captain Kirk or maybe Captain Sully...calm under pressure and smart. This 2 year old (shelter estimate) male fawn/red with black mask is a sweetie. While he was at the shelter, he got kennel cough pretty bad and had ticks all over him. We're giving him antibiotics for his kennel cough. He got de-ticked, a bath, and then we applied flea and tick medicine yesterday. Already today he is feeling better. When he is over his kennel cough, we will give him a full evaluation. So far, he's been a great boy!

new SAR dog - meet "MARGAUX"

Margaux 2yrs old female happy to be out of the Downey shelter 10/5/2011

new sick SAR puppy "JONAH"

Christy picked up this adorable 8 week puppy, Jonah, from Baldwin Park Shelter tonight. He has parvo, and is the 2nd dog (the other dog was PTS) from this particular litter and same owner that has been taken to Baldwin this week. Christy took this little love muffin to the emergency vet for treatment. The vet is very optimistic about Jonah's chances for survival. He was still active and trying to escape from his box. He is being put on IV and will be taken to Dr Sam's ICU tomorrow morning. Please keep Jonah in your thoughts and prayers. And please donate to Sachi Animal Rescue (tax deductable) to support his medical care.

new SAR dog - meet "JAKE"

This is Jake, a gentle giant. He is young, about 1 year old and has some filling out to do. He is a big boy and is just a sweetie. Jake looks so much like Cody, acts like Cody, is the same age as Cody, and came from the same shelter as Cody. Cody was an owner turn in and Jake was a stray. We think they are brothers. Jake is a great dog. He doesn't know commands but will be a quick learner. This guy wants to please. He walks pretty good on a leash, is great with other dogs, and is afraid of cats! This big guy just doesn't know how big he is. Jake would not be good with young children right now as he might knock them down by accident. With very little training, he will be great with all people, young and old.

new SAR dog - meet "MOLLY"

No doubt about it...Molly is a superstar! This petite 2 year old female only weighs around 45lbs. Not only is she absolutely adorable on the outside, she has an adorable personality. This little girls loves everyone...people, kids, dogs, and is pretty good with cats. When she sees a person or another dog, her whole body shakes with joy. She is well behaved, fairly calm, and has already gone through the crazy puppy stage. She is a living doll.

new SAR dog - meet "COLE"

Cole is a very handsome, 2 to 3 year old boxer/bulldog mix. He is about 65 lbs and has that bulldog stout body. Cole is a chow hound and don't think likes anything better than food. He walks pretty good on a leash but needs training. Positive training with treats will be easy with this guy. He is good with people but not so much with other dogs. He spent a few days in a foster home and was great with the other dogs for 2 days. Then he decided he didn't like one of the dogs. He is very dominate and should be an only dog.

new SAR dog - meet "STELLA"

Stella had a rough beginning, and was adopted from someone's backyard. The person who adopted her had no idea how to care for a puppy, and now Stella is looking for a wonderful, forever home.

She is friendly and gets along well with other dogs. She loves to play and needs to be in a home where she will not be left alone all day. Ideally, she would be in a home with another sweet, playful dog. Stella is very smart and likes to hide bones/toys from other dogs. Current on shots and will be spayed this coming Tuesday.
