new SAR dog "CODY"

Cody is an 11 month old adorable young boy. His is a fawn male with black mask. I would describe him as a little bit of a big goofball, maybe clueless. But you couldn't ask for anyone sweeter. He going to be a large boxer. He is tall, and still needs to fill out. He doesn't know any commands but will learn quickly. This big sweetheart wants to please...a few treats and some training sessions and Cody will be the dog of your dreams. Good with people but we'll do a full evaluation in the next few days.

SAR's 2. Annual BINGO

After a late start (traffic and parking sucks), we had a great time playing Bingo for the dogs. Thank you all for coming out and being a part of this exciting evening.

new SAR dog "KEEGAN"

Keegan is such a sweet and cute boy! I met him for the first time yesterday. He is still a little under the weather as he has kennel cough and had a rough neuter on Monday. He had one impacted testicle and the vet had to go into his abdomen to remove it. Now the poor guy is having to wear a cone to keep from licking. He's young and in good health so he will recover quickly. He is great with people and other dogs. Right now he is pretty calm and mellow but that may change as he begins to feel better. Will keep you posted on this handsome fella.

new SAR dog "COLE"

Upon arrival at the Lancaster shelter we received the happy news that Prince and Casper were adopted but the other two were euthanized. You never want to leave a shelter empty-handed, and so Raphaele walked the aisles when she locked eyes with COLE. She noticed him two weeks ago when she picked up Stella. I remember her telling me about him and how shitty she felt leaving him behind. Cole was scheduled to loose his precious young life today but Raphaele could not let that happen and took him home. He slept with a full stomach in a warm bedding thru a quiet night and woke up to a brand-new destiny! More to come, stay tuned ...

new SAR dog "DRAKE"

Drake is a handsome fawn male with black mask about 1 year old. He was saved from San Bernadino shelter. He is very nice boy, good with people and other dogs. We will evaluate him this week to check him out with kids. Look at that mug!

new SAR dog "BAILEY"

Bailey was found in one of our volunteers back yard, playing with her boxer and boston terrier. He's a sweetheart, about 1-2 years old, fawn with a some white markings. This boy is all about fun. He loves to play, and of course he loves to get pets. He is good with people and other dogs. He is good with kids, but has not fully been "kid tested" yet. He will be getting neutered, shots, and micro chipped this week.

new SAR dog "BO"

Bo is a gorgeous flashy brindle male about 2 years old. He is calm and well mannered. He is great with people and other dogs. Why this awesome dog ended up at the San Bernadino shelter is a mystery to us. He was obviously well taken care of, and almost certainly an indoor dog. He was a stray, but his owners didn't pick him up. Bo will be taken to the vet this week for neutering, shots, and micro chip. Bo is a gem.

new SAR dog "TANGO"

This is Tango, a beautiful white female about 2 or 3 years old. We love the brown patch over one of her eyes! This girl is good with people and will be fully evaluated this week. She will be going to our vet for spay, shots, and microchip in the next couple days.

new SAR dog "TUCKER"

Tucker is a young white boxer with a natural tail. He is about 1 year old. He is quite shell shocked about being in a shelter/kennel, and very frightened. It was easy to take pictures of him because he absolutely wouldn't move. He is happy and feels more secure when he is with his confident slightly older buddy, Bo. We will focus on getting this little boy comfortable. He is good with people and other dogs. He is a sweetie!

Stella is adopted!!!

new SAR dog - "STELLA"

Stella is our new sweetheart from the Lancaster Shelter. Her owners turned her in because "they didn't have time for her". Well, their loss is our gain...Stella is an awesome dog! Not only is she beautiful on the outside, she is beautiful on the inside. She is great with people and other dogs. We haven't tested her with children yet but my guess is that she will be fantastic. Some family is going to be very lucky if Stella becomes a member of their family! She still needs to be spayed, but she'll be ready to go to a forever HOME very soon.

My name is Charlie

I am a loveable 10 mos. old Lab/Pit mix looking for my forever home. I feel lucky because of all the wonderful people who have save my life, I would still be wondering the streets hungry and alone or in a shelter. I am full of energy I love playing with my toys and furry friends; I would love a home with another big dog to play with.

I am preparing for my new forever home by learning some manners (in training)….
I am learning how to walk on a leash, some basic commands for sit, stay, come
I am house trained already! Learning to wait for my food. And soo many more …….

I am working very hard to be the perfect puppy, but I must admit I am a bit suborn I like to try things my way but I am not aggressive just a little pushy. Everyone who see me smile will fall in love !!!So if you’re looking for a new friend its me !!!!

update from his foster mommy: CHARLIE is awesome !! I have taken him to the dog park and he has no aggression. I have had to challenge him a bit as he can be a bit of a punk and has not shown me ANY aggression toward me. He loves to play with a little Yorkie puppy I have in training in my home. He also knows he can play rough with a Great Dane that stayed with me too.
If I can figure out how to upload the video I have of he and the Yorkie I will send it to you. It is VERY cute.
