Meyer vacation video, part I

new dogs** meet FRED & ETHYL

This very bonded pair of Boxers was found wandering the street for a while when they were found skinny and very hungry. The search for their owner was unsuccessful. Fred & Ethyl are currently in a foster home where they sleep in the human bed. Even though they are less than a year old, both puppies are mature enough to let you know when it is time for a bathroom break. They also get along with the other dogs in the household. Fred & Ethyl would like to share a forever home together.

New dog ... meet TY

Hi my name is TY

But u can call me love bug, because my favorite thing is cuddling!!!

So over my short life I have been bounced around 3 different homes.  My last home didn’t understand the amount of responsibly a dog would be. I was looked up in a run without shelter. They would forget to feed me and fill up my water bowl but that’s not the worst!  They left me out in the cold poring rain at night!  I was so lonely all I wanted was a human to cuddle with. Thankfully I was rescued now I have the opportunity to share my love with someone special ….. Are you my someone special ??? I am the perfect family dog I love people and I really like the mini ones …. What are they called ? oh ya kids !  I am also great with other dogs the more friends the better ! … almost forgot I am house trained so there will be no accidences. See I am perfect …

SOooOoooOoooooooo  will you be my forever home ??????

JEDI - new and available

Jedi is a Terrier mix, believed to be about 10 years old.
He was found in the high desert town of Rosamond, running around on a
dirt road out the Feline Conservation Center. That's where he was
picked up by a volunteer at FCC who is fostering him now, until he can
find a forever home.

Jedi is a funny dog. He's very interested in the two cats he is
sharing a house with. He really likes the Shih Tzu that lives there as
well and they have interacted very well together.

He has a cough that the doctors say may never go away. It's like an
old man hacking. It's more prominent in the morning and night or when
you put a leash on him.

He's very well behaved and comes when you call him. He is also potty
trained and can hold it until let out, if necessary.

Jedi is a good lap dog. He likes to just hang out and sit. He buries
his bones and enjoys sunbathing. He also is having a "love affair"
with a dog pillow. He's a special boy with lots of personality.

LEO - new and available

NOT JUST A PRETTY FACE

Leo is a Boxer boy you will fall in love with right away. We certainly did!

Not only is he a good looking boy but he is also well mannered with his caretakers as well as his canine friends. In his previous home he watched over a couple of kids supervised by an older Boxer lady. Unfortunately we don't have any pictures to prove how good he is with the little humans.

He likes hikes and playtime in the yard but was very sad when Annie, his girlfriend, moved away with her new family. Those two were playing non-stop. When he loves someone, person or doggie, he goes all the way out.

We are hoping to place this special big boy in a loving home where he gets enough exercise to keep him stimulated as well as structured to get the best out of him. If you have already a dog - well, even better! You have kids? Leo is a FREE babysitter. What are you waiting for? He is not going to be available for long. Afterall Leo is gem!

LUCY !

just one dog ...

This was sent to us by our dear friend Sandi who was the one person that has started the rescue process of our own ZAKAI. This video is inspiring.

SAMMY update

Sammy is doing good even though he was diagnosed with Diabetes Inceptions and is now on a human pituitary hormone. His new family adores Sammy and we would like to share a recent email from Sammy’s momma:

“We bought Sammy a sheep skin rug, a bed etc. but his favorite place to sleep is on my robe.  He carries it to his bed or blanket, and twists it up into a pillow.
He is now able to sleep from 10:00PM -about 4:30AM.  Of course, he always wakes up at 5:30 wanting breakfast. He wakes us up by putting his paws on our bed and "talking" to us.

We had all of these "rules" or ideals if you will before we adopted him.  We said we were going to try to stick to dog food--that's out.  We can't help but give him different treats to flavor his food.  We said he wouldn't sleep in our bed--that is out.  We now nap together.  The list goes on and on.  Who can help it when he looks up at you with those eyes?  Not to mention that he hasn't been feeling himself, so I give him extra hugs and love.

He is a lover.  He follows us through the house wherever we go, especially the kitchen!  I lay next to him while we are watching TV and pet him.  He has doggy dreams and makes slight barking noises in his sleep; I wonder what he is dreaming about.

He has really taken to my family.  My dad is 84 and in poor health.  Sammy is so gentle with him.  He lays on his feet, gives him kisses, and falls asleep.  He likes "grandma's" house because she bought all sorts of treat etc. for him.  She is still getting the used to the idea of being called grandma!

It is amazing how your life changes.  If we go out to eat, we now only go to places with a patio so that Sammy can come with us.  We used to go out of town on weekends and look forward to little getaways.  All I want to do now is stay at home and find things to do with Sammy on the weekends.  It would be no fun to leave him behind :(

At this moment he is lying next to me in the office curled up in the office with his beautiful cheeks on his front paws.  I know I am biased, but he is the most beautiful dog in the world.”

Spur of the moment Yard Sale

Sachi Animal Rescue did awesome at yesterdays yard sale. It was a spur of the moment yard sale, and really no effort went into it. We had great stuff like TVs, bikes, BBQ grills, golf clubs and lots of little cutsie stuff. People came and did some serious shopping.

Spur of the moment Yard Sale

Sachi Animal Rescue has just realized that Christmas is around the corner and we have no money to buy our puppies x-mas presents! Oh no!! The furry kids have only two wishes:

1) a forever home (we are working very hard on that EVERY day)
                                               and
2) waiting for that home in the new place in Malibu (it ain't cheap ...but our dogs have ocean view, different yards to play in, 24/7 supervision and care, hiking trails behind the house and warm, cozy beds to sleep in indoors).

We must have another yard sale as our dogs love the new place and want to continue to live there until a permanent home is found. All you have to do is to show up, spend some dough and be part of a great organization that wants nothing else but keeping the quality of the doggies life as plush and luxurious as possible because they deserve it!

Hope to see you there! And of course you can bring stuff to sell too!

Hiking with the SAR puppies in Malibu

update on FRANCISCO

For people that don't know Francisco, this is where he "lived" for 5 years or so:

Sachi Animal Rescue took charge of him, removed him from that environment, rehabilitated the boy and finally he was adopted.

Look at Francisco now.
